Black Music Month

We can all agree that every day is the perfect time to celebrate the musical contributions of African-Americans, but in June we go extra hard since it is officially Black Music Month.

Jim Jones to Host Turkey Giveaway in Harlem on Sunday November 24th

Rapper, entrepreneur, and hometown hero Jim Jones is making the holidays brighter for his community with his annual turkey giveaway through his nonprofit, VampCares. On Sunday, November 24th, families in need can pick up a free turkey at 57 Malcolm X Blvd, New York, NY 10026, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM ET.

This heartfelt initiative reflects Jim Jones’ dedication to giving back to Harlem, the neighborhood that shaped him. “As someone who grew up in Harlem, it’s important to me to give back to the place that shaped me,” said Jim. “The holidays are about community, gratitude, and giving, and I’m grateful for the chance to make a difference in people’s lives.”

Known for his contributions to music, business, and philanthropy, Jim continues to show love for his city. Harlem residents are encouraged to arrive early, as turkeys will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

With this annual tradition, Jimmy proves once again that he’s not just an icon in hip-hop, but a champion for his community.
