DJ CRE-8 (WEEKENDS)

DJ Cre-8 has influenced the nightlife scene in New York and tri-state area for over 10 years. Born and raised in Central Islip, Long Island, DJ Cre-8 got his start mixing records at the early age of 12 while watching DMC and ITF battles on video cassettes, fueling his passion. He starting out by djing at all the local high school parties and events, where DJ Triple-R would mix spanish and latin music, and DJ Cre-8 added the hip hop, R&B and reggae, receiving a lot of local recognition. Soon after, DJ Triple-R introduced DJ Cre-8 to his cousin, the late great DJ Threat from Hot 97 FM New York City, who at the time had just started the widely known DJ Crew called The Turntable Assassins. DJ Threat did not hesitate to add DJ Cre-8 to the Assassins, opening the door to his future career.

The Turntable Assassin DJ Cre-8 has spun in various clubs in the tri-state area such as the legendary Copacabana, Club New York, Latin Quarters, Providence, and Eugene's and well as other prestigious venues around the country and the world. After the passing of his friend, DJ Threat, it was in his heart and soul to advance the name of Turntable Assassins and to pursue the dream and goals of DJ Threat, inspiring DJ Cre-8 to make the sky his limit and spin for high level events such as The Official Hennessy Party in South Beach, Missy Elliot's birthday celebration, Billboard Live, the 2008 Pre-MTV Video Music Awards in Hollywood, the Official MTV Tr3s' Launch Party in Times Square, and the 2011 Winter Music Conference.

Not to be complacent, he has been spinning records at parties and events for companies like Willie Esco, Coors Light, AXE, Adidas, L'Oréal, Hennessy and parties with guests in attendance like Busta Rhymes, Ne-Yo, T-Pain and Rick Ross. With his TV debut in 2007, he has been featured on many episodes of MTV Tr3s' Sucker Free Latino show, hosted by The Crowd Mover L-Boogs. He landed a weekly spot on Saturday nights from 6pm-7pm on 98.5FM/96.9FM La Fiesta in 2008. Since then, he's also dj'ed for Sirius Satellite's Shade 45 Gomez Bros Show and for 2 years dj'ed on Alistradio.net.

In the spring of 2010, DJ Cre-8 was invited by legendary hip-hop djs Funkmaster Flex and Mister Cee to be the featured deejay on the world famous hip-hop and R&B radio station HOT 97 FM, where he was quoted to be 'one of the top 3 elite DJs to be on the station,' which may explain why he won the Latin Mixx Awards - Best Club DJ award 2 years in a row. He's recently been featured on a billboard marketing campaign alongside HOT 97's DJ Enuff, DJ Camilo and DJ C-Lo.

These milestones in his career remind DJ Cre-8 to never forget of the many people that have inspired him to get where he is at today like, DJ Threat, fellow Turntable Assassin DJ Smooth Denali, The Crowd Mover L-Boogs, Kid Capri, DJ Camilo, DJ Green Lantern, DJ Craze, and DJ Q-Bert. In the words of DJ Cre-8, 'To me it's not about making money for one night... I love the energy the crowd gives off - I live for it!
