Dave East Talks Not Recording For A Month After Nipsey Hussle's Passing

Fresh off the release of his new album "Survival" Dave East stopped by "Blendz And Trendz" to talk about the new project, playing Method Mad in the Wu Tang Hulu series, and Nipsey Hussle.

Talking about why he felt it was finally time for him to drop a full length project he said:

"The timing I feel like I’m mixtaped out… Just wanted to see the reaction and see what bag I could get in and create my own album. I know that’ll be the project that lives, with the acting I knew I was introducing a lot of new people to me so I felt like this was a good time to drop my album.”

East who was also close with Nispey Hussle even recently revealing that they were supposed to drop a project together, with his passing leaving East devastated he revealed to us that he didn't record music for a month after his passing:

“After he passed, god bless cuzzo, i aint record nothing for maybe a month and a half because  was still filming for Wu-Tang, Yeah that was super hard to record. That was me basically telling him everything I wish I could’ve told him… Just letting him know how he inspired me, just certain jewls I took from him. You know just his vibe… Nobody gone be able to make up for the energy he brought” “Me and Snupe damn near cried listening to it… Don’t even rap on this shit unc. Just give your farewell”
