This past Sunday, NYC was lit up as the 60th Annual Grammys Award made its way back to town after 15 long years! Bruno Mars was the biggest winner of the evening as he won Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year. The 24K Magic singer also won Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Album. Kendrick Lamar followed suite as he dominated the rap categories by winning all including Best Rap Album and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for Loyalty featuring Rihanna.
Its no secret as it seems that Jay Z, Cardi B, SZA and Migos were snubbed out of winning of their nominated awards.
SZA blew the crowd away when she performed “Broken Clocks” convincing the audience the academy may have chose wrong for Best New Artist. Then most talked about rap artist, Cardi B didnt take home Best Rap Song but did joined Bruno Mars on stage to perform “Finesse” giving the onlookers a new jack swing tease. Childish Gambino left the spectators speechless while he performed “Terrified” off his 2016 album, “Awaken, My Love!” Rihanna gave african vibes as she performed “Wild Thoughts accompanied by DJ Khaled and Bryson Tiller.
