Exciting news, Tiger King fans!
Fans who can’t get enough of the craze surrounding Netflix’s docuseries will be thrilled to know the story will continue with a brand new episode. According to Jeff Lowe, one of the infamous zoo owners on the show, the streaming service has added one more episode to the series that took the world by storm.
In a Cameo video posted to Twitter by Los Angeles Dodgers’ Justin Turner, Lowe confirmed another episode will be added to the streamer’s Tiger King playlist this week. Without giving away too many details on what the installment will be about, the big cat owner revealed “they’re filming here tomorrow.”
Since premiering on March 20, Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness has become an instant Netflix favorite for its twisted take of infamous zoo operator-slash-country-singer Joe Exotic’s ongoing feud with animal rights nemesis Carole Baskin.
At once bound by their love of big cats, Exotic and Baskin’s comical rivalry takes a dark turn when Exotic is arrested for targeting Baskin in a murder-for-hire plot in which he allegedly paid a hitman $3,000 to kill Baskin.
In addition to several counts of animal abuse, the scandal landed Exotic behind bars on a 22-year sentence at the Grand County Jail in Oklahoma.
Despite being unable to properly bask in his new-found celebrity, Exotic, who has not yet watched the docuseries, gave an interview from jail days after it premiered. “You know, it’d be nice if I could actually see me being famous out there,” he said at the time, “but I’ve seen these same four walls for a year and a half now.”
Even behind bars, Exotic’s husband, Dillion Passage, says the Tiger King has been “ecstatic” about the attention and is “100 percent” enjoying the spotlight.
