Possibly one of the worst things that could possibly happen on the first day of 2019, a sixty-six-year-old man was attacked and knocked out inside of a South Bronx Bodega according to police.
Happening at Mike's Family Deli on Courtlandt Avenue, the video of the assault was released by the police yesterday showing the victim being shoved to the ground and being punched by his assaulter in the face knocking him out completely. The man responsible for the attack left right after and has yet to be arrested as police are still looking for him.
The 66-year-old man is currently in stable condition after suffering multiple facial fractures and some bleeding in his brain.
The NYPD is asking for anyone who has any information on the suspect to please come forward, he is around 20-30 years old, last seen wearing all dark clothes.
We are praying for the victim's speedy recovery.
