The mother of the late Aaliyah is calling out the actions of an author for allegedly defiling the singers grave promoting her upcoming book ahead of the 20th anniversary of the fatal plane crash.
Taking to the singers Instagram page Diane Haughton shared a message to Aaliyah's fans expressing that she will now be forced to make changes at the cemetery and mausoleum.
“Due to the behavior of an individual that has been to Aaliyah’s resting place in order to promote a book, I have been forced to make a drastic change at Ferncliff Cemetery and Mausoleum,”
As for the Author of the upcoming book, Kathy Landoli has expressed that she did not take the book outside of her grave to promote it and wants fans to not bring the book to Ferncliff to promote it either.
"I did not promote my book outside of Aaliyah's gravesite. That is offensive to even suggest. I have been told that fans have had my book there with them. Please no longer bring my book to Ferncliff. Apologies that fans can not visit Aaliyah's resting place."
