A big congrats is in order to Rachel Balkovec!
Balkovec has become the first female manager of a minor league team for the Yankees. The New York Yankees have promoted Balkovec to a manager of the Low A Tampa Tarpons. At just 34-years-old, Balkovec will be the first woman to manage a team affiliated with the Yankees.
Balkovec is being promoted after joining the Yankees organization in 2019 as a hitting coach.
