Nicki Minaj Talks 6ix9ine, "Barbie Dreams", and First Time Smoking Weed

Fresh of the release of her new album "Queen", Nicki Minaj pulled up to Clue Radio to talk working with 6ix9ine, "Barbie Dreams", and the first time she smoked weed.

We all remember when Eminem basically professed his love for Nicki Minaj during a concert appearance. “I couldn’t believe, it I never saw him do anything like that”, Nicki said when she heard that Em said he wanted to marry her. She also added that she was very flattered that one of the rappers she looked up to would say something like that about her. Nicki also added that she always wanted him on the album and it was just a matter of getting a song that he would like and once "Majesty" got sent to him he immediately hopped on. DJ Clue also asked who would be Nicki's favorite rapper of all time along with her top 5. She added that Lil Wayne is definitely her favorite rapper of all time adding her top five would include him Eminem, Jay Z, Foxy Brown and Lauryn Hill.

Nicki's recent record with Brooklyn Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine has officially gone platinum and continued to hold its spot in the Billboard 200 top ten. Speaking on working with Tekashi on the record, her verse was originally just a quick freestyle that was sent to 6ix9ine over voicemail. While he made fun of Nicki for the verse it ended up finding its own way onto the record. Nicki also wanted to add that that she doesn't think people should judge him so quickly saying, “he’s so funny, he is very genuine and very sweet, to be that young and be that judged I don’t like it”.

Originally Nas was supposed to be on "Queen", but due to clearance issues, Nicki revealed that his song had to be cut. Adding that she and Nas were bummed about the record being left off especially because he is the king of Queens and it would have been a perfect fit for the album.

With "Barbie Dreams" being the most talked about the record on the album so far has mentioned some of the biggest names in Hip-Hop such as Drake, DJ Khaled, and Nicki's ex Meek Mill, Nicki wants to make it clear that the song wasn't a diss record by any means. Adding that people should be mad if they weren't mentioned in the song.

Lastly, Nicki talked about the first time she smoked weed saying she has only been smoking for a year and a half. The first time she really understood how to smoke she actually got to high to the point where she freaked out..
