Adidas has paid homage to the late iconic baseball player, Jackie Robinson by creating and dedicating a signature shoe for his accomplishments; being the first African American man to play in Major League baseball (MLB).
According to Sole Collector, Adidas will be creating a specific training baseball cleat for Robinson.
The product manager of Adidas, Matt Van Wyen said:
“We know every single guy in the MLB looks up to Jackie Robinson, and he was such a legend and did so much for not just the game of baseball, but for humanity in general,” and “We wanted to give Jackie the signature cleat he deserved when he was playing.”
In addition, Adidas will further their dedication by building a softball and baseball stadium at Jackie Robinson's old high school along with new Jackie Robinson inspired uniforms and the signature cleats as giveaways.
This idea is super dope and can't wait for the official release date.
