Janelle Monáe and Maxwell are set to perform during the Women’s March on Washington on January 21st in Washington DC. The performance comes the day after Donald Trumps inauguration into office.
"I am honored to join this critical movement to bring justice and equality to all," Monáe said in a statement. Maxwell added "We are here because women are every bit as capable if not more able to pursue any goal they set forth for themselves. Were it not for the limitless depths of their love we would not be the men that we are.”
Questlove, Rakim, MC Lyte and many more artists, politicians and personalities also plan to be heavily involved in the event.
