IamDerby Releases New Fiery Visual “Take Me Away”

Popular recording artist IamDerby, from Portsmouth, Virginia, releases visuals for his single titled “Take Me Away” which is quickly gaining notoriety on YouTube in which it has gained over thirty thousand streams in only one month of its release!

Darius Eugene House, born January 12, 1998 (age 24), known professionally as IamDerby, is an American rapper, singer, engineer and producer from Portsmouth, Virginia. Since 2018 IamDerby has released three official projects “IamDerby” (2018), “Ride With Me” (2020), & “A Pain So Beautiful” (2021) and “The Samples Volume 4: Love Injunction’s” (2022) being his most recent project which featured his breakout hit single “Take Me Away”.

His music has been co-signed by many artists in his area & other well known names on the big screen. So far in his career he has had the opportunity to perform alongside some major artist such as Young Nudy, Lil Tracy, and also have worked with artist such as NLE Tuewop, one of Kodak Blacks newest artists, and the late nationally well-known DMV artist Goonew who just tragically passed away last year due to gun violence and went viral on social media for his bizarre home-going while having his body propped up inside a club (as one of his last wishes family and close friends had stated).

IamDerby’s latest video release “Take Me Away” is currently trending as one of the top indie hits in Los Angeles. The music video was shot and directed by Gravityfilms757 & The Diamond Sniper (Virginia Beach, Va) and was taken at Fort Monroe Beach in Hampton, Virginia and it stars the beautiful Hampton, Va Bombshell published model; Asia Da Empress.

The track is produced by Primetime Beatz and co-produced by IamDerby himself. It features other artists WanBob who is from Fredericksburg, Va, and Rosamira who comes from Richmond, Va. The saxophone that can be heard in the song is performed by Manuel Trabbuco who is located in Pescara, Italy; but in the music video; the sax is portrayed by Saxy Rachel who is a native of Compton, Ca. Reasoning for that was due to locality and timing of its production.

Another interesting fact is that the track itself is fully engineered, mixed, and mastered all my IamDerby himself at his home studio using the well-known production software Fruity Loops which is widely known as FL Studio.

“Take Me Away” gives a positive outlook on relationships and empowers men and women to find and enjoy love instead of today’s current society where the majority of hip-hop / rap music has a degrading influence towards the respect for women, and a negative outlook on relationships and monogamous relationships.

“I am determined to set the new standard for my generation put a positive context back into it just how it was back in the 90’s. I’m a 90’s baby. I was made out of love and I want to return that back into the world.”
