After winning a game 92-4, Sacred Heart Academy beat Lyman Hall-Wallingford. The game was at 56-0 at halftime and then 80-0 heading into the 4th quarter, KFDA reported. The school's president made an apology for how the game went and then suspended the coach, Jason Kirck, for running up the score.

"Sacred Heart Academy administration and athletics are deeply remorseful for the manner through with the outcome of the game was achieved," a statement from the school reads.

"The CIAC promotes safety and sportsmanship above all else for our member schools," Gregg Simon, the conference's associate executive director, said in a statement. "We have been in communication with both schools as well as the Southern Connecticut Conference and we will continue to offer support to our member schools as they work through this difficult situation."
