Born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, Cardi B has risen to stardom not just in the American Hip-Hop community but worldwide doing records with some of Latin Americas most prominent superstars. Born to a Dominican Father and Trinidadian Mother Cardi was raised in the South Bronx. Cardi B's rise to fame began in 2015 when she joined the cast of "Love & Hip Hop: New York", where she spent two seasons on the show before leaving to pursue her music career.

It wasn't long after before she signed with Atlantic Records and they released her debut single "Bodak Yellow" in June of 2017, and the rest was history. Since then Cardi has gone on to collab with some of the worlds Biggest superstars including Bruno Mars, J Balvin, Bad Bunny, Ozuna, Anita, G-Eazy, Chance The Rapper, Fat Joe plus many more.

After the release of her debut album "Invasion Of Privacy", the Bronx rapper went on to win countless awards for the project including three awards at the 2018 MTV VMA's. In 2019 the rapper took home the prestigious award of "Best Rap Album" at the 2019 Grammy Awards making her the first female rapper to win the award as a solo artist.

Recently Cardi spoke with iHeartRadio for Hispanic Heritage Month and shared with us what she loves and values most about being Afro Latina,

"What I value about my heritage is we have different types of Hispanic people, different accents, foods, the music, JLo, Selena, and Shakira have left an impact on me"
