Megan Thee Stallion is officially Team Roc.
On Friday (September 13), the creator of "Hot Girl Summer" announced that she inked a new management deal with Jay-Z's Roc Nation.
"I would like to announce that I am officially apart of the @rocnation fam!!!" the 24-year-old rapper captioned a photo of her standing beside HOV. "The grind don’t stop ! #realhotgirlsh*t." Meg's Instagram post also included a video of her sharing a toast with her new Roc Nation family. "I'd like to officially welcome Megan Thee Stallion to Roc Nation," a woman says in the clip as everyone clinks wine glasses.
As fans know, Meg's new deal comes amid her break-out Summer. Meg has not only owned Summer 2019 with her music — she dropped her highly successful third mixtape Fever in May— but also with the creation of Hot Girl Summer. The Queen of the Hotties started the movement that has swept the Internet by deeming the months of June, July, August, and parts of September as the time for "a Hot Girl" to be "unapologetically" themselves by "having fun, being confident, living YOUR truth, being the life of the party etc."
Capping off the summer of a lifetime, the Houston rapper won Best Power Anthem at the 2019 Video Music Awards for her "Hot Girl Summer" collab with Nicki Minaj late last month.
