Four 12-year old girls were allegedly strip searched early this week at a middle school in Binghamton, N.Y.
According to Fox 5 News, the Binghamton Press and Sun-Bulletin claimed that nearly 200 members in the community came together to attend an intense school board meeting in efforts to discuss and find a solution to the incident.
It was reported that all of the girls who were not only questioned, but also strip searched by the school's nurse and principal were of African-American decent. The reason why the strip search was called for was due to the fact that the girls were portraying suspicious behavior during their lunch hour.
This led faculty to suspect that the girls may have been possessing drugs.
In regards to the incident the local NAACP is demanded that the school take account of their actions.
The school distract has apologized for the incident and claimed that the strip search was intended to traumatize the four young girls.
