Drake and Lil Wayne have collaborated on plenty of songs... probably hundreds. I mean, Lil Wayne discovered Drake and is pretty much responsible for his entire career. Drake is arguably the hottest rapper out right now, him being featured on the Carter V would be a guarantee. Not exactly.
According to Weezy in a recent interview, the reason Drake wasn’t featured on the album is due to “clearance issues.” But isn't Drake signed to Young Money??
“He has a song that didn’t get cleared,” Wayne said after being asked where Drake was. “The clearances man. The clearances man. People be trippin' when they find out who it is and when they find out what the song’s subject is about. They don't represent the names of something like that,”
Apparently, the song was pretty vulgar and had some "raunchy" lyrics which caused the song not to be cleared for the album.
