The Pittsburgh Pirates Pay Homage To Mac Miller With A Moment of Silence

The passing of Mac Miller has affected all of us in the Hip-Hop community in some way. It seemed as if he touched just about any and everyone whether it be through personal experiences or through his music. Passing away almost two weeks ago now, the exact cause of his death still remains a mystery as we wait to for the autopsy report to be released.

With tributes happening all across the country as well as in Mac's hometown, most recently as Blue Slide Park, which Miller had an album named after, it seems that the Pittsburgh Pirates wanted to show love to a hometown hero.

During a game this week the stadium took a moment of silence to honor the rapper with the announcer saying:

"Mac was a rapper, a singer, a producer and had a very bright future in the industry ahead of him. Locally, Mac is remembered as a hometown kid who sang about our city where his heart clearly remained. Our thoughts are with his parents, his grandmother and all of his family and friends who mourn his passing."
