Following Mac Miller's alleged overdose on Friday his music streaming numbers have skyrocketed. This isn't the first time that this has happened when at artists passes away, back in June when XXXTentacion passed away his sale and streaming numbers shot up over 700,000%.
According to Billboard his top 5 most streamed songs as a leading artist last week were :
“Self Care” (3.34 million streams; up 824 percent from 362,000), “Donald Trump” (2.07 million; up 2,337 percent from 85,000), “Best Day Ever” (1.88 million; up 4,852 percent from 38,000), “Hurt Feelings” (1.63 million; up 608 percent from 230,000) and “Weekend” featuring Miguel(1.62 million; up 1,157 percent from 129,000)."
