Back to school season has been around for the past month now, and many celebrities have been hosting back to school drives to give back to the kids and the community. In recent news rapper, Meek Mill has teamed up with Puma, Sports Apparel Fanatics, United Legwear and Philly's luxury store Milano Di Rogue to donate more than 6,000 backpacks to students in the city of Brotherly Love.
"Those memories stay with me and that’s why I’m committed to giving back to families in my hometown, putting smiles on kids’ faces and helping them start the school year on the right note with the right supplies." Meek Mill told TMZ.
This morning (Wednesday, August 29), Mill surprised hundreds of kids from his old elementary school, James G. Blaine Elementary, to give the children backpacks filled with supplies.
