The Carters left their OTRII tour performance in Colombia, South Carolina with not only a day in their honor but also with a key to the whole city!
Mayor of Colombia, SC Steven Benjamin honored the pair with a key to the city as a part of their tour at the Williams-Brice Stadium. Benjamin also announced that from this day forth August 21st will be known as "Beyonce Knowles & Shawn Carter Day" in South Carolina. So, mark your calendars!
Benjamin then took to Twitter to recognize the pair and to tell the world:
“It was wonderful to have a chance to recognize the humanitarian & cultural contributions of Mr. & Mrs. Carter,” he wrote. “August 21st was official “Beyoncé Knowles Carter & Shawn Carter Day”
