Travis Scott's most recent album "ASTROWORLD" quite literally soared beyond expectations as the week after its release each day came with new predictions for how much the album would be selling and if it could dethrone the powerhouse that was Drake's "Scorpion". With a heavy lean on the theme of the album as well as a merch rollout that lasted over a week Travis Scott owned the first week in August with 537,000 album units moved in the first week of release 270,000 of those being pure traditional album sales.
This is Travis' second number 1 album following up his previous out "Birds in The Trap Sing McKnight" back in 2016. He also recently released the video for "Stop Trying To Be God" which features his baby mother Kylie Jenner as the Virgin Mary.
He also recently announced he will be bringing Astroworld back to Houston in the inaugural "ASTROWORLD Festival".
