Monique Calls Roseanne Barr A “Sister in Comedy”

Monique is facing lots of backlash from fans for her recent comments on Roseanne Barr, who has had her fair share of controversial incidences this year. Roseanne's recent debacle occurred via Twitter where she referred to Valerie Jarett, former White House advisor, as an 'ape'.

In a now-deleted tweet, Barr said Jarrett looked as if the “Muslim Brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby.” Since the tweet, Barr has been trying to save face- issuing public apologies across the board. However, in her most recent and bizarre explanation of her tweet, she stated

“I thought the b*tch was White! Goddamnit, I thought the b*tch was White. F*ck!”

in an interview with KTLAMonique goes on to defend Barr's actions saying:

“I remember when I had the ‘Mo’Nique Show,’ and there were big, major black superstar talent that had white representatives and they told their talent, ‘That show is too black and we really don’t want you to go on there, But there was a white woman named Roseanne Barr that showed up for me. … And they didn’t hear the conversation when the cameras wasn’t rolling. … That woman was giving me some beautiful words.”

Monique also says to Barr "You Have a Friend In Me" and claims Barrs remarks were just "mistakes". During her interview, Mo’Nique also touched on dealing with Hollywood since winning her Academy Award, and she believes she is still being blackballed.
