Kendrick Lamar Wins Pulitzer Prize

Kendrick Lamar has just won a Pulitzer Prize for his album “Damn.,” which was announced Monday (April 16) afternoon.

Although there hasn't been much released regarding Kendrick winning the award by the organization, it is clear that the impact he's had on hip-hop, music, and culture is reason enough for him to receive the award. Throughout his musical career, each of his albums has shown great progress. Aside from that, his words/lyrics reflecting his upbringing, the black experience in America, hip-hop’s history and legacy, stardom and countless other topics are definitive factors that contributed to the success he's had.
