Issa Rae has been chosen to host this year’s "Council of Fashion Designers of America Fashion Awards" (CFDA).
The actress announced her new gig on Monday by posting a tweet
According to Essence, Rae will also be the first female host for the major fashion ceremony in almost a decade. CFDA president and CEO Steven Kolb said, “Issa Rae is leading a new generation of performers who use their voice and humor to discuss social topics in a way that is relatable and poignant.”
Issa will host the 2018 CFDA Awards in partnership with Swarovski on June 4 at the Brooklyn Museum.
