Last night Jordan Peele took home the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for his work on the thriller Get Out. This makes him the first African American in history to win an award in that category.

Get Out was such a success, that it became the highest-grossing debut for a black director and the first such film to earn over $150 million.

A few minutes after winning, Peele posted a tweet in awe of winning.

Peeles best friend and former collaborator Keegan-Michael Key was there to show some love. In one photo Key is seen standing on his chair and screaming out loud and released a tweet following the win.

As for Jordan Peele's next film, the director has signed a two-year deal with Universal Pictures. His sophomore film is slated to hit theaters on March 15, 2019. Congrats Jordan !
