The Garner family has suffered yet another devastating blow after the late Eric Garner's activist daughter has be declared brain dead.
On Wednesday New York Daily News reported that Erica Garner had suffered “major brain damage” from a massive heart attack and had been listed as brain dead with no chance of recovery. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Just five days after the heart attack that led to cardiac arrest, which was triggered by an asthma attack, family members have been called to Woodhull Hospital to say their final goodbyes to Erica who still remains on life support. Her mother says “physically, she is still with us. She’s not gone,” but that “she’s brain dead.”
This comes just three years after laying her father to rest after he died after being put in a chock-hold by NYPD officers.⠀⠀
