Three members of the "Barden Bellas" of the movie 'Pitch Perfect' 3, (Ester Dean, Chrissie Fit, and Hana Mae Lee), stopped by the Angie Martinez show to talk about the film and their careers aside from 'Pitch Perfect.'
Hana Mae explained how they had to go through the "Barden Bella Bootcamp" to prepare for the movie and how she had to take beatboxing classes for her character Lily. She also also touched on working on the new RZA movie 'Love Beats Rhymes' with Jill Scott, Common and Azealia Banks who keeps flip flopping about wether or not she wants people to support the project.
Ester Dean said that she "Loves that boys love" the movie and how they are part of the Pitch Perfect Fandom and how the film is the reason why she is more known despite her extensive songwriting career.
When talking about her career, Ester's cast members boasted about her songwriting skills and how she was even writing smash hits while doing the film. She wrote the songs 'Firework' by Katy Perry, 'Countdown' by Beyonce and many more. When it comes to songwriting, she likes the fact that she just writes rather than perform them all. "Cant all songs be yours" she says as she explains how the songs she writes are part of her personality.
Chrissie discussed how it was that she got the role of Flo Fuentes and how it was being an additional member of the cast. "Right away they were so warm and welcoming," says Chrissie about the cast when she joined them for the sequel. She also says that they "bonded easily" and was excited to be part of the film.
