Eleven days after Philadelphia Common Pleas Court Judge Genece E. Brinkley sent Meek to prison for two to four years for violating his probation in a 2008 drug and gun case, she has now has set November 27 for a hearing on a motion by his legal team to allow him to be freed on bail pending appeal.
This means that Meek will be allowed to be released on bail while his appeal process is handled and a decision is rendered.
