Angie Martinez Inspires Hope With Hurricane Relief Drive

Angie Martinez's Hurricane Relief Drive was a total success on Saturday September 30th thanks to the community coming together in honor of those affected in Puerto Rico.

You all showed out and came through to donate some of the critical items needed by our brothers and sisters out in Puerto Rico such as water, diapers, non-perishable baby food, batteries, first-aid supplies and feminine hygiene products.

FDNY Chief of Department James E. Leonard and Mayor de Blasio both came to show support at the drive as did Actress Lauren Velez who said Angie's relief efforts made her feel "more connected and committed to doing something", after she was initially feeling hopeless.

If you were unable to make it to the donation center click one of the links below for more information on how you can donate/help right from your home:

Actress Lauren Velez stopped by with donations today. ❤️ #Repost @lalunavelez ・・・ Thank you to the amazing Angie Martinez, Power 1051 and the FDNY for giving us a place to drop off our donations today! I was feeling so helpless and wanted to do anything I could to help our Island. Seeing what Angie was doing just made me feel more connected and committed to doing something, anything. It's going to be a long haul. But together we can be strong and help rebuild Puerto Rico. #puertorico #puertorican #voicesforpuertorico #vocesparapuertorico #donate #contribute #showup #give
