In the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, many celebrities are asking on social media to help them bring aid in Puerto Rico. Jennifer Lopez said at a press conference with New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo that she in conjunction with Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks and Shark Tank star, as well as Puerto Rican Dallas Mavericks player J.J. Barea are just waiting for air clearance to send over two airplanes filled with supplies and generators to San Juan.
Of course, JLo isn't the only celebrity with ties to Puerto Rico. Alex Rodriguez, Marc Anthony, Benicio del Toro, Ricky Martin, Lala Anthony, Daddy Yankee, and Rosie Perez are also making appeals for donations and raising awareness of the catastrophic destruction in Puerto Rico.
“Today, Puerto Rico needs our help," said JLo, "I urge you to support and donate to the efforts of the First Lady of Puerto Rico, Beatriz Areizaga. Together we can help rebuild our island, and the Caribbean.”
