Earlier this week BFF and Hairstylist to Tiny, Shekinah Jo Anderson posted a graphic IG picture alleging that she had been beaten up by a man. She later deleted the photo. The day after the incident, Anderson took to Instagram Live to explain why she posted the photo of herself in the mist of the physical altercation.
According to The Jasmine Brand, Anderson explains:
"Yesterday, I was not in a good space. A lot of people called and text me and I thank you for the love and support. I’m real. I don’t know if any of y’all know that, and I don’t have anything to hide from none of y’all. Right now I’m sitting over here messed up and I’m going through it. However, I feel like I owe it to y’all because I put it out there to explain my situation. Yesterday, was a bad day. I got into an altercation with someone. It was a bad situation. It was something I wasn’t even looking forward to. Yes, I did call the police. I called the police before I went on Instagram. I got pissed off at the police because they weren’t coming. I was like ‘hey, somebody needs to know with this man has done to me.’ I don’t approve of no woman getting their a** beat."
She also continued saying:
"A lot of women have been getting beat and don’t want to talk about it. But I’m one that don’t mind (telling). Yesterday, I don’t know what happen. I don’t know if the devil got into him or what happened, because at the end of the day I‘m not taking up for him. He’s not a bad person. I wouldn’t be sitting around a person that’s just an awful person. I am not with him. I am a single person and we haven’t been in a relationship since Saturday. And a man should not touch you. But, at the end of the day I’m just clearing the air. I haven’t been sitting up getting my a** whooped. That’s what I’m trying to let y’all know."
