Former New England Patriot player, Aaron Hernandez has been found dead in his prison cell earlier this morning (APR. 19) just after 3 a.m.
According to CNN Hernandez was found hanging from a window guard by a bed sheet in his cell. Massachusetts prison officials say Hernandez had various items in front of the cell to block entry from the outside.
Hernandez was serving life in prison after the 2013 shooting of his former friend, Odin Lloyd, who was dating Hernandez's sister. He was also acquitted back in 2012 for the shootings of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado in Boston.
Further investigation will be held regarding the former NFL player since no suicide letter was found in his wake.
