Pepsi Apologizes for Tone-deaf Kendall Jenner Ad | Trending Topics

Angie Martinez breaks down a variety of trending topics. She kicks it off with Pepsi apologizing for their controversial ad starring model Kendall Jenner. "The craziest part to me is not that it got done, cause maybe their intention was good. Maybe they were trying to show something good," Angie said of the tone-deaf promo. "It didn't come out good, so somebody should have stopped it. Nobody stopped it." Pepsi did end up issuing an apology for the new ad, saying they clearly missed the mark. One good thing that came out of this is the savage meme Martin Luther King Jr's daughter tweeted about Pepsi, saying "If only Daddy would have known about the power of Pepsi."

Rick Ross has reached a plea deal for his kidnapping and assault charges. The rapper didn't get any jail time, but he does have to pay a $10,000 fine. Kanye West has the first streaming-only album to go platinum with The Life of Pablo. Nia Long denies any beef with Taraji P. Henson, as well.
