Nike has been known to break barriers and take risks and their newest edition will do just that. After the release of the plus size edition, Nike has went all out and created a "Nike Pro Hijab" for their Muslim athletes. It has been a long time coming for the woman of "cover" who wear the hijab in honor of their religion and to obtain modesty.
Nike also said in a statement,
“the Nike Pro Hijab may have been more than a year in the making, but its impetus can be traced much further back, to an ongoing cultural shift that has seen more women than ever embracing sport.”
Kudos to you Nike! We can always count on you for taking risks and creating history in fashion.
