After losing the hilariously outspoken Carrie Fisher and iconic singer George Michael within two days of each other, everybody seems just about done with 2016. It was hard to say goodbye to legends like Prince and Phife Dawg in such close proximity to each other, however, every new year inevitably brings a new set of beloved celebrities' deaths. While it's awful to think about who we might lose in 2017, at the end of the day it's all a part of the circle of life.
With less than a week left in the year, though, we've started to wonder if 2016 was really as savage as we originally thought. Yes, we've had to deal with some extremely tough losses over the past 12 months. Nobody is debating that fact, however, we might be forgetting the losses from earlier years. Here we take a look back at some of the brightest stars we've lost over the past six years. We definitely miss them all, however, we're so grateful for the timeless art they've left for us to enjoy for years and years to come.
