The Hip-Hop Against Gun & Gang Violence Month Campaign will work with the Little Daymond Money Club, NASDAQ, NYCHA and a host of others to provide opportunities, resources, and consultations to help each project achieve their goals. Ending poverty is the antidote to gun & gang violence, academic failure, mass incarceration, substance abuse, economic injustice and mental illness, with each contributing to the crime, violence and decay of America.
In our ongoing effort to use the power of Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship to end Poverty, the “Root Cause” behind a host of social issues that compromise public safety, the Hip-Hop Summit Youth Council has partnered with “The People’s Shark” Daymond John, Power 105.1, 105 Days of Summer, NASDAQ, NYCHA and the Hip-Hop 4 A Healthy NYC initiative to coordinate a host of activities throughout the year to make America a safer and better place to live. It’s time for “We The People” to step up to the plate and work closer with our elected officials and business leaders to develop new innovative ways to protect and empower our youth with the resources to succeed. No longer can we allow companies that put “Profit Before People” influence the safety and development of our communities.
According to new data, Gen Z is the first Generation in history that has performed worse than the previous. These results tell us that Gen X and the Millennials, who would be their parents and grand parents failed just as well. We are in serious trouble because this affects our ability to achieve financial independence and generational wealth. With all the gridlock and broken promises in Washington, “Concerned Citizens” can no longer wait for the government to end Poverty, address the dropout rates, improve Public Safety and the quality of life in our communities. Through the right Private/Public Partnerships we can reverse this disturbing trend and save the Alpha Generation from the same shame.
Addressing the needs of our youth and young adults will not be an easy task. We are calling on corporate America, along with the “Rich & Famous” for support because someone has to meet the challenges that our “gridlocked government” is unable to fulfill. Over the years we have learned that celebrities have a lot of influence over students and their Star Power can get them to do things that parents and teachers cannot. Building something you can call your own is not just about profit, it’s also about your purpose, survival and legacy. Students and young adults, its time to take control of your destiny and we will guide you towards success, as the HIP-HOP PARTY PREPARES TO BLAST-OFF.
All proceeds from the above projects go to the Hip-Hop Summit Youth Council to support their programs and activities.
"May the power of 5 keep you well and alive."
