Angela Simmons is breaking her silence following rumors about her relationship with Yo Gotti.
On Wednesday, June 18, the entrepreneur confirmed she and the CMG founder have broken up after dating for the past three years. In a new episode of Angie Martinez's IRL Podcast, Simmons revealed she's in her "growing" and "healing" season before she saying she's "transforming into the next part of myself." Toward the end of the interview, Simmons confirmed that she and the Memphis rapper are no longer together.
"No, I'm not with him," she said. "Not by choice, but I respect him. It's all love."
"I wouldn't have chose it," she continued. "It was what was best, but I wouldn't have chose it.
Yo Gotti essentially manifested his relationship with Angela Simmons after he professed his love for her in his 2016 hit "Down In The DM." Six years later, Gotti finally landed the girl of his dreams and started a public relationship with her. The couple was spotted at several high-profile events and on red carpets. She even starred in Gotti's music video for "No Fake Love" in 2023. Despite rumors about the couple's alleged engagement, Simmons said she made the tough decision to end their relationship.
"It was my choice," she explained. "I had to make a decision, but I think there's a certain level of what I can share and would share publicly, and I can publicly say that I'm not with him anymore. But as far as details, I would just never. I'm just not that girl."
