Young Thug reflects on losing his Lamborghini to the feds in a brand-new snippet of an unreleased song.
On Monday, March 3, a snippet from an unreleased collaboration with Quavo, reportedly known as "Yes Ma'am," surfaced online. In the brief clip, Thugger raps about how he felt after he learned federal agents seized his Lamborghini after he was arrested in 2022 in connection with the YSL RICO case. He also seemingly referenced his jail calls girlfriend Mariah The Scientist on the hook.
“I’m in a jiggity-jam, I lost a g****** lamb," Thugger spits. "She got a question for me/Daddy – I’m him? Yes ma’am!”
At the time of Thug's arrest, police seized a slew of personal items from the rapper's home including several luxury cars, over $100,000 in cash, and several pieces of expensive jewelry. The status of his other belongings is unknown but a judge recently ordered his jewelry to be returned. Unfortunately, Thug won't get jewelry back. It will be returned to jeweler Rafaello & Company.
The snippet comes over a month after Thugger appeared on his first song since he was released from jail. The Atlanta native hopped on Lil Baby's track "Dum, Dumb & Dumber" along with Future. The song appears on Baby's recent album WHAM. During a recent interview, the "Say Twin" rapper said he's got more tracks with Thug on the way. He also confirmed that he's working on a collaborative project with him, Young Thug and Future.
"We've been in the studio together [every day] almost since he came home. So we got tons of songs," Baby told Complex. "I could have done more. I ain't want to OD it anyway. I'm the first person to have a Young Thug verse since he’s been out. So I didn’t want to just overdo him anyway. I wasn't even going to put this song on [the album] because we’re working on something else."
"Me and Future were also going to drop a project, but it was Thug’s idea," he continued. "The whole time while he’s locked up, I'm talking to him and trying to talk about the trial. He’s like, 'You need to get with Pluto and drop the tape with Pluto.' I'm trying to talk about the trial. He ain't even tripping. He’s like, 'Bro, go to Miami. You need to lock in with Pluto, y'all need to drop an album. Do that for me.'"
It's not clear where this song will appear. Listen to the snippet above.
