Olympic sprinter Gabby Thomas is asking for help with how to handle a group of men she said have been stalking her at airports across multiple cities.
On Tuesday (January 28), Thomas shared a TikTok video detailing how the group has appeared at airports across the country while she's traveling.
Thomas said the group, consisting of three to six men, have shown up at airport doors and approached her at her concourses or gates. During these incidents, Thomas said the men harass her and ask her to sign stacks of pictures. The Olympian believes the men could be resellers but said they've been "aggressive and hostile" when she rejects them.
"It doesn't matter what city," Thomas said. "They've come when I was traveling to and from Chicago, they've come when I'm traveling to and from Miami. And they have my flight information."
Thomas noted that it's "freaking" her out that the men seem to know exactly when and where she is traveling.
"What scares me is that they have my flight information even when I don't even know what time I'm flying out sometimes — I don't tell anyone my flight information," Thomas said.
In her TikTok video, Thomas asked her followers for help on how to handle the situation.
"I don't know what to do," the sprinter said. "Any advice is welcome.
TikTok users flooded her comment section with advice, noting that she should contact the FBI or check her accounts for any connected apps that the men could be accessing. Others suggested she file a report with the local police or airport security.
Tennis star Coco Gauff chimed into the conversation, saying she's had a similar experience.
"This happens to me too, I don't know how it happens," Gauff commented. "My theory is maybe someone at the airport tips them off."
One TikTok user said Thomas should try recording the men to see if it would scare them off.
The Olympic gold medalist then shared a video of two men she said were stalking her at the Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
"I took this video once when they were following me past TSA," Thomas wrote. "I'll see who I can report it to. I'll continue to take pictures and video. It scared them away."
