Jeezy and Jeannie Mai's months-long divorce battle has officially ended.
According to reports that numerous outlets published on Wednesday, June 12, a judge in Georgia signed off on the official decree of divorce for the former couple. Their divorce was settled following months of mudslinging from both sides. While they managed to strike a deal regarding child support and a solid parenting plan, the details of their overall settlement will remain sealed. This means the specifics about their property splits, spousal payments, custody agreements and more will be shielded from the public eye.
Jeezy, born Jay Jenkins, and Jeannie Mai were married for three years and welcomed their young daughter Monaco together. The former couple managed to keep their failing relationship under wraps until Jeezy filed for divorce last September. They tried to keep things civil but things went downhill after they began to quarrel over primary custody of their daughter. Jeezy accused his ex-wife of "gatekeeping" and "weaponizing" their toddler and claimed she made co-parenting difficult.
Meanwhile, Mai alleged the Atlanta rapper physically and verbally abused her on several occasions. She also claimed he cheated on her and kept guns in the house that were easily accessible to their child. Jeezy denied the accusations in a statement he released in April.
"The allegations are not only false, but also deeply disturbing, especially coming from someone I loved," Jeezy said. "This malicious attempt to tarnish my character and disrupt my family is ridiculous. It's disheartening to witness the manipulation and deceit at play and at this time my main concern is being an active father to our daughter as I continue to fight for court mandated joint custody. Rest assured, the truth will prevail through the proper legal channels"
So far, neither Jeezy nor Jeannie Mai have spoken on the official end of their marriage.
