Bun B had tears in his eyes while he recounted the night when an armed robber pointed a gun at his wife's head during a home invasion.

The UGK rapper appeared in court on Thursday, June 6, to offer his testimony in the sentencing hearing of the defendant Demonte Jackson. The 25-year-old man previously pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery and burglary with intent to commit another offense. Jackson sat in the courtroom while Bun, born Bernard Freeman, and his wife Angela “Queenie” Walls gave an emotional description of what happened inside their Houston home in April 2019.

"This was an entirely new traumatizing incident," Bun B said according to ABC13 Houston. "This is something we still deal with to this day."

"There are times when she gets closed off," he continued as he tried to hold back his tears. "She can't communicate, and I just get so angry all over again because she didn't deserve this. She didn't ask for this."

Bun B sat at the witness stand for 20 minutes as he recalled the traumatic experience. He recalled the moment his wife answered their front door thinking it was a delivery person. Jackson worr a mask when he entered their home and pointed a gun at Walls' head. He heard his wife scream, "Just take the car! Just take the car!"

"Don't come downstairs. He's going to kill me," she screamed at Bun.

He grabbed his gun and went downstairs. Jackson was already in the garage and in the driver's seat of Walls' car when Bun fired five or six times at him. Jackson was struck in the shoulder, but managed to fired back before he dropped his weapon. The two fought on the ground until Bun made him remove his mask and pull up his shirt to reveal his tattoos.

"I wanted to confront the person who put that fear in my wife's voice," the rapper said. "I wanted to know who that was behind the mask. I wanted to know if this was someone I knew personally or someone that knew someone I knew personally."

Demonte Jackson is set to be sentenced this afternoon following testimony from two more witnesses. See what The Breakfast Club thought about the situation below.
