DDG surprised his girlfriend, Halle Bailey, with a personal award show following her recent losses at the NAACP Image Awards.

In a series of videos shared on social media, DDG said he and Bailey were disappointed that she didn't take home her own trophy at this weekend's NAACP Image Awards. Bailey was nominated for Entertainer of the Year, which she lost to Usher, Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture, won by Fantasia Barrino, and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture, awarded to Taraji P. Henson.

“…I was kinda mad that she didn’t win ’cause I feel like she should’ve won at least one of the awards. She won ‘The Color Purple’ one, but that’s like a group trophy, it’s not the same as like your own, and I was very, very upset that she didn’t win, knowing how much of an impact she made on the Black community last year and it’s a Black award show,” DDG said in a video.

To make it up to Bailey, DDG decided to create a personal award show for the new mom. DDG appeared to dole out at least five customized trophies for what he called "the Halle Awards." Video shows Bailey feeding their son Halo as DDG presented her awards for "Best Cat Sitter", "Best Woman", "Best Artist", "Best Sweetheart", "Best Partner", and finally "Best Mother".

“That was really sweet, y’all made me cry. You didn’t have to do that. Why did you do that,” Bailey said as she teared up.
