Anuel AA on Working With Kodak, His Love For Kobe, Being A Girl Dad + MORE!

Anuel AA sat visited Angie Martinez today and had a raw conversation about everything going on in his life shortly after his latest album Las Leyendas Nunca Mueren 2 (LLNM2) released. He did the entire interview in English, making his latin-appeal easy for english-speakers to appreciate. The conversation was so genuine, Anuel AA was able to spend much time reflecting on his past and sharing current feelings he has.

He spoke on his parents’ amazing job at raising him and his brother; he enlightened Angie on how their bilingual dynamic trained him to be the multi-talented person he is today.

The 30-year-old superstar (with over 30 million Instagram followers) also pointed out that although they didn’t raise him to be in the streets, he doesn’t regret anything considering he learned to turn negative experiences into positive outcomes.

This becomes obvious as he explains his efforts to be a present father to his son and tells Angie his second child will be born in April, making him a proud (yet nervous) girl-dad!

Anuel AA has worked with artists which include Kodak Black, Bad Bunny, Ozuna, Cardi B, Nikcy Jam, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, DaBaby, Lil Durk, Meek Mill and many more. When speaking about other artists, he also points out the array of upcoming creatives who are positively influencing the game; to this point, he urges the Grammys academy and other major music-award platforms to regularly include Latin artists in their categories. Though, he also says this is inevitable.

Bluntly and often, the Latin-trap artist points out that reggaeton is a fast-growing genre that’s inviting lots of new, exciting artists into the space; his goal is for the world to embrace Latin music the way they do English music.

Anuel AA names J Balvin, Daddy Yankee, Nicky Jam and other artists helpful during his time in prison, Kodak Black the face of Haiti, Kobe a legend and calls out the artists he’d like to collaborate with on his all-English album. In terms of those he looks up to most? He says Tupac, Drake, Lil Wayne and more.
