Jason Lee of Hollywood Unlocked launched his new show by releasing a candid Cardi B interview. During this discussion, Cardi detailed her and Offset’s reactions after receiving Takeoff’s death.
She told Lee, "We was in bed. We was going to go to LaLa’s party in New York, and my daughter threw up all over my costume… we just fell asleep, and out of nowhere, Offset’s phone kept ringing, mine kept ringing."
The rapper continued, “Offset picked up the phone, and he’s just like ‘No!’ screaming [over and over].”
The thirty-year-old rapper then says that Offset responded with, “Takeoff is dead.”
“I smacked him and I said don’t say that,” she recalled.
She continues, “he’s just like screaming, and just throwing things, throwing up… running all over… and I was just… I was so scared, I was just crying so much. It was terrible. Everything was triggering.”
