When Finesse 2Tymes was joined by DJ Self, he was instantly welcomed home. The 25-year-old rapper was recently released from prison after being incarcerated for about five years, rejoining society with music for many to enjoy!
DJ Self asks if the Tennessee native, who had just spent much time in Arkansas and travels often, had noticed any changes since being released. The rapper responds by saying music’s definition isn’t as significant as before.
He also speaks on people’s criticism towards his willingness to travel to Los Angeles, share his whereabouts and flex flashy jewelry despite the chain of crimes, tragedies and attacks witnessed (think: Nipsey Hussle, Takeoff, PnB Rock, Half Ounce, and more). The rapper, who is legally named Ricky Hampton, proceeds to point of the importance of traveling safely no matter the location.
In synch with DJ Self, Finesse 2Tymes then clarifies what Memphis stands for: M.E.M.P.H.I.S. = Making Easy Money, Pimpin’ Hoes In Style.
The rapper also talks Mob Ties, what city shows him the most love, signing to a label, relationship with Big Boogie, his new album which is titled 90 Days, and MUCH MORE!
