Chris Brown Exposes AMA's For Cancelling His MJ Tribute Performance

Chris Brown took to Instagram to share the upsetting news that the American Music Awards (AMAs) allegedly canceled his upcoming performance just ONE DAY before it was scheduled! Most disheartening, the show was set to be a tribute to Michael Jackson.

To break this news, Breezy shared rehearsal footage along with a self-explanatory caption.

Michael Jackson hits heard in this video include "Beat It," "Billie Jean," "Wanna Be Starting Something" and "Thriller." The artist also planned to perform his chart-topping single and social media viral single, "Under The Influence.”

It's important to note that Chris Brown is known to be a MAJOR Michael Jackson fan, not to mention he’s performed tributes to MJ (even at other mainstream award shows) before. The bottom of this article features multiple of those performances.

Meanwhile, the AMAs do not have a reputation for cancelling last minute, especially without explanation.

Now, industry friends including Jermaine Dupri have stepped in with their thoughts, sharing discomfort and disappointment.

Although the show aired last night (Sunday, November 21st 2022), the AMA's have yet to respond to the controversy.

Update: the AMA's production company issues a response! Click here for full details!
