NJ Teacher Saves Choking Student's Life

Give this teacher a raise! A scary episode in a 3rd grade classroom avoided catastrophe when Janiece Jenkins jumped into action and saved a boy who was choking on a bottle cap.

Surveillance cameras at the school in East Orange, New Jersey, caught the moment 9-year-old Robert Stonaker couldn’t get a water bottle to open, and put it in his teeth and squeezed - blowing the cap off and lodging it in his throat.

Ms. Jenkins had never done the Heimlich maneuver before, but had recently gotten training.
