Tuesday's General Election is about to be one of the most important elections in the history of New York City.

In the new post-pandemic world in New York City it is as important as ever to make your voices heard. Not only will you be voting for our new mayor, but also the local officials who will be tasked with bringing change to the community.

Here's some information you should know:

Important deadlines to take note of:

  • 11/2 - General Election Day Tue, November 2, 2021 Polls are open 6am-9pm.
  • 11/2 - Deadline to return absentee ballot Tue, November 2, 2021 Last day to postmark your absentee ballot or drop it off at a poll site. Find your poll site.
  • 11/9 - Deadline for Board of Elections to receive absentee ballots Tue, November 9, 2021 The Board of Elections must receive your absentee ballot by this date. However, your ballot must be postmarked by November 2 to be valid.
