Jayson Cash On Signing To Atlantic, Snoop Dogg Cosign, Working With Blxst

Recently making his debut under Atlantic Records we had the pleasure of getting up with rising West Coast rapper Jayson Cash! The rapper who now has two singles out under the label “All I Know” & “Priority” Featuring Blxst stopped by On The Radar today to speak with us about signing to the label, his new singles, Snoop Dogg cosigning his music + more!

Jayson who has been steadily working for some time for this moment couldn’t be happier to have found a home at Atlantic records alongside his close friend and fellow rapper Symba. Sharing the story of how he got signed he explained how it was one of those moments where everything aligned at once.

“We gone test this record out on Dallas, mind you, he has never heard any of, and this is like a year or so ago before the pandemic, he goes who is that, he looks at me, nod his head, when im walking out of the studio he stops me in the kitchen and he tells me that it was a good record it's up to you what you do with it, then he started paying a little more attention. Me and Symba did another record together and he was like don’t go nowhere ima bring you here”

For a West Coast artist, one of the biggest cosigns you can get in the game is that of none other than Uncle Snoop himself. After playing an unreleased version of his debut single “All I Know” the rapper said he had no idea that Snoop was secretly recording them listening to the song, which he then posted on his social media later. Now getting to call him Uncle Snoop, Jayson shares that for him that was a real full-circle career moment.

“He gave me the aux, it was an unreleased version of “All I Know”, and man I get home and im jumping in the shower and im scrolling through the gram and I see Snoop is listening to my record he made a video playing it when I was there and I had no idea, he put it on his story it was crazy. I got to play him a few records, one of my goals in music I wanted to call Snoop, Uncle Snoop to his face and I did it”
